All of us have heard that labor cost are rising in China and Asia as a whole. This means companies that outsourced Manufacturing are looking for the new haven in cost reduction. According to www.Outsourced-logistics.com a survey of CEO’s report movement of there business factoring back to Central or North America. Europe has seen companies pulling out of the Asian Market and shifting resources to the ever growing Eastern block.

This survey does account for the shifts to Europe and back to Central America. These shifts are documented, but it does leave out a crucial market in the world. Vietnam and India are still growing infrastructures and are not subject as of yet to increased labor rates. These upcoming countries though still lacking in roadway and transportation services provide a large portion of the worlds production. The textile market for example has seen a large growth in India over the last 5 years.

Vietnam like India has grown within its borders leaps and bounds in the past ten years. Though its still 3rd world by business standards you will find the growth of forwarding companies at an explosive pace. Logistics providers who saw the global shift have banked on Vietnam and India building offices in every major Provence and city. Manufacturing in China must slow down in the coming years as it did in America, rising labor cost will see shifts to other markets in the next 5 to 10 years.

As a young business owner and someone trying to make things happen everyday in chasing the American dream I know how it feels to see your life running out of control. I have been lucky to have mentors who provide material and advice to me when my life seems like it has gone past saving. We all hit a point in the business and personal world where things seem to not be working.

Everyone has a very busy life whether its managing your home, job, or personal life we all need to find rhythm in our lives. Some days you just ahve to step away from the world and find peace and quiet. I know this Can be a challenge especially when trying to run a home or job time never stops, but you can.

I was in this similar place a week ago where in my job it seemed everything I did met with a rejection or a dead end fed up and searching for answers I called a mentor and asked for advice. He recommended a book about a golfer who had hit the same wall in life. The book is called “Golf’s Sacred Journey Seven Days At The Links Of Utopia.” This book is written by David L. Cook a sports and life counselor for 1000′s of athletes and professionals. The book preaches the need for rhythm, patience, and balance in life. I recommend this read it helped me find perspective in the working world and in life.

As a manager CEO of a company moving material domestically or worldwide the worries are not in the minor cost, but how do you cut cost off your bottom line. These are some tips that we have seen proving time and time again with large and small companies.

1) As much as I would love to see more made in the USA products outsourcing your manufacturing can be a great way to save on your bottomline. This provides you the ability to release your manufacturing and your warehousing dilemmas to another company do deal with. The small cost associated with outsourcing can return a huge savings on your bottom line.

2) Consolidating product and shipments with the way a shipment moves around the world sometimes the best cost savings come from piggy backing your cargo with other clients. Companies place your product in a larger container or air crate with your own product to save you from having to ship two smaller quantities. The lead times needed today will not be affected enough to keep you from using this method. This consolidation can save $1000′s to millions of dollars for large companies.

3) For companies you must air ship cargo around the world especially from the Middle east or Pacific Rim should look into SEA/Air programs the lead time for this method is 7 to 10 days from cradle to grave but will save you up to 40% on an air shipment. You are sacrificing 2 to 3 days of lead time for thousands of dollars in savings. Not every transportation company offers this service one great one doing this is www.scanwell.com. They have years of experience out of the Asian and Middle east markets.

These are just a couple of tips to help cut bottomline cost if you you would like to know more or have a thought on the subject please let me know.

The world market can be a scary place for any company or entrepreneur to become involved. Everyone is looking for the how to and pit falls that come with growing your company globally. There are some elevating trends in the global market to help your company grow.

The use of international suppliers is a great way for product based companies to gain a competitive edge on there competition. The mainstream manufactures have learned that outsourcing an idea and allowing an outside company to produce samples makes the idea of a product much easier to evaluate. For example electronics companies such a headphone producers send sample request to Asian suppliers who intern send them finished products for review at a minimal cost. In your own business you can do the same actions use a low cost supplier to send you samples that you can reject or accept based on the concepts you like.

The use of Internet or electronic marketing, companies have been aware of the Internets power for years, but have just recently realized the power of Internet networks. Examples include (Facebook, Twitter, linkedin) as few the sites provide connections and abilities to build brand awareness and product knowledge before you have a brand to sale. Think of the selling power and buying power in global market you can have if before your product comes out you already have thousands of interested buyers. This sounds absurd I know but take the music industry Bonaroo Festival was started before the bands were even booked. The founders created a buzz through Internet networks that had so many followers that bands could not refuse the payout to play.

Your company may be large small or in between and may offer products or services, but the days of news paper adds are over. People in an every changing world want to do business with friends and feel that people they trust in there networks are the best to work with. You must embrace the Internet networks and build your trust with your customer base.
